Sudden hard throat hit..
What atty are you using? If I roll a cotton wick too tight, it will have crummy TH but after a while it will start to fluff out and the TH will increase drastically.- Leithan

Anyone else facing grief from CoC for vaping?
That’s too bad, we have a very vaping friendly environment here, a lot of soldiers have given up dipping and smoking for vaping, we have an awesome PIF system going to help folks make the switch. I"m pretty sure they take PayPal, when you check out from PayPal it will show the amount in dollars. One of the reasons I like ordering from overseas is they can take PayPal. Usually if they don't show prices in dollars I will just use Google currency converter to make sure I'm not buying a $500... -

I'd have to second....or third? The Kayfun either lite or ES. Easy to set up and by far an outstanding vape. I toiled with gennys for a while, even thought I knew better and could rely on one out and about......nope. I could just never get one to vape better then a really good carto set up. But... -

Provari constantly flashing (depleted battery)
I had problems for a wile, mine came with some hard sticky substance on the positive battery post on the board (flux maybe?).70% percent iso on a q tip wouldn't clean it off and I wasn't comfortable trying to scrape it off with a screw driver. 99.8% iso took it right off. -

I'm a mech poser. I love the look of mechs but hate unregulated vaping. I use Crowns and Kicks in all my mechs. Just got a Kick2 from RTD in the mail today, they will definitely be replacing my Kick1s and Crowns. -
Provari and Kayfun wierdness...
I think the issue with KFLs is their open draw, Kayfun's juice feed is somewhat regulated by their draw, tighter the draw, the more juice that feeds. I run a slightly tighter draw on my ESs then the draw from my KFLs. The more juice that feeds the sloppier my wick set up can be with out worrying... -

I'd get some 98% or better isopropyl alcohol. I had to order mine on amazon, any percentage less isn't considered electronics safe. I use it for cleaning the contacts and a bi weekly douching. I live in a very dusty environment and mine gets full of crud quick. I don't care much for Noalox, I... -

Kayfuns have a side feed air hole, flush mounting them will not affect airflow. I own both KFLs and ESs, I think the KFLs are more finicky about set up. Probably the most important thing is ensuring your wicks arnt plugging the juice feed holes. I also like my coils to be in the 1.8 to 2 ohm... -

Thank you Soba! I think Mil Spec at least in the context of the military just means "Expensive, Breaks easy and is impossible to get parts for" Most of our newer radios are "Sealed" which apparently means "Can't be fixed" -
Any news on new provaris?
You can keep VW, EGO threading, strait top cap etc...I just want contacts I don't have to clean every other day to prevent my Provari from doing the blinky blink 20 minutes into a fresh battery. It's starting to drive me a little nuts, unscrewing and screwing the bottom cap to get the blinking... -

I'm nominally stationed out here in the high desert so water proofing is usually farthest from my mind. I normally use a plastic star cluster tube, holds my provari, a couple of batts and a 30 mil bottle of juice nicely. This was last minute and just kind of grab and go. -

I have tried putting it in a ziplock, it's just a pain the ... taking it out and putting it back in every time I go to vape. Plus I'm sure I would forget to seal it up and it would just be a false sense of security.
