One of the most important things when getting a scale for DIY use is to get a scale without a auto shutoff timer or one with at least 5 min auto shutoff, or a timer that you can adjust. They are so inexpensive that you can usually trash the one you have in favor of one without the auto shutoff.

    TFA Dairy/Milk - Mistakes

Yeah its really developing a new flavor, and its all about finding the right amount to mix, there are no set rules in DIY as its all subjective. A mix of say 8% Vanilla Bean and 2% Dairy, 5 mil, 100%pg, steeped for awhile to lock the mix yields you a new unique flavor. You would then use that...

    TFA Dairy/Milk - Mistakes

Had to chime in.... The TFA Dairy flavor is not a main ingredient but supposedly a milk note. You are suppose to add it to a main ingredient that needs a milky note. For every 5% of a main flavor you could add .05% milk to add the note. So if you are using 5% Bavarian Cream/.05 % Milk you...

    Bickford Flavorings

I bought the sample pack one time about a year ago.....mixed them up and "meh" I was never able to taste it so I gave up on it myself...The old post said that you needed to use high flavor percentages I mixed at 20% and it didn't work..I will be waiting to see how it works for you :)

Steeping Times and an Ultrasonic Cleaner Part III

I have the same model and its been going strong for a little over a year, and I never let the timer get to "zero"...I fill it with the hottest water I can find, set it to "30 min" and when it gets down to about 15 or so (or when I walk by it) i just hit the time button and put it back up to "30...

Wanting to buy a box mod, which one?

I would have also said the Sub Tank Mini but with the above statement, I thought that the Nautilus would be a better option.

    Kanger KBOX 40W Mod oh?

I ordered one myself hopefully will be here Tuesday, the only reason its so cheap is because they didn't include a screen or incremental wattage manipulation. If I didn't have a bunch of batteries or a charger this would be a deal breaker. This will be in a Version 2 before spring because there...

Wanting to buy a box mod, which one?

Sounds like an Istick 30W around $40 Aspire Nautilus or Nautilus Mini: $26 to $30 Thats just my opinion, just picked up the Nautilus and an Istick 30 for a friend who was in the same situation as you and he loves it. The sub-ohm stuff isn't his cup of tea but he still has a device that will...

When mixing by weight, it would be in your best interest to use a scale that measures 0.01 instead of .0.1 increments. It is in all the threads about mixing by weight. I use a scale and have never looked back. 0.1 works but the measurement of liquid needs the 0.01 precision.

    Flavor West DIY flavor review

Mount Baker says they don't use FW flavors so in order to be sure you are getting the right flavor concentrate why don't you just order it from Mount Baker?

    Sweetness increased drastically by steeping?

Flavors start to combine with time, there are two ways to mix, one way is : "Shake N Vape" These mixes taste great when you mix them, mix then shake and vape. Usually you make these in small batches that don't last for more then a coupe of days at the most. The flavors are mixed at higher...

Mixing by Weight - Are You ??

Welcome to the club and its the best club you could have joined!! Long term storage in plastic is not good anyway because of the leeching effect of plastic. I always transfer an oz into dripper bottles and keep the rest in glass for storage. Label your glass storage bottles and when you order...
