protank wicks tend to burn out easily.. My best suggestion is to rinse the wick with water after every full tank and if you use a strong flavor of e-juice, use cheap vodka to clean the wick. (just let the wick sit in the vodka for an our or so)

There is a video of someone making a tank with an atomizer instead of a carto... Figured I would post cause it seems to work well for me anyway. Hope you find this useful... Doesn't give pictures but explains what he did.
