The vent holes are visible in the LOCKED position you can turn the lock ring to have them open in both positions but then the ring clicks around. The channels in the switch threads are open when it is in the unlocked position

don't have experience with the magneto but I have a nem and it is a fantastic piece of hardware. So simple to set up and tiny in 350 mode. Totally changed my vape. Good luck!

Yarn for the coil? If the wick is burnt you can use cotton or hemp (unwaxed) . If your current wick is silica you can do an intense dry burn/ rinse/ dry burn until it glows and the gunk is gone.

FYI I have a couple coils and a kick I ordered a month ago still sitting in china so if you want it any quicker buy somewhere else. The nemesis and trident are the way to go.
