There is some of what looks like the black powder coating inside the tube down at the bottom just about all the way around that is making the tube a bit tighter. There is one section that has none I have to make sure that I put the side of the battery that has the circuit running up it in that spot

Its an 18650 . I should have mentioned that it's not pushed to one side . It will actually only go in one certain way or else the side the protection circuit runs up will not let it fit in

The rubber insulator for the center post of the connector could be torn causing a short that is tripping the battery protection..

You could make a saber touch style one with a regular swith instead of the touch switch and either use a 5 volt regulator and 2 Protected 16340/CR123. or use 2 Tenergy LiFePO4 RCR123A for 6 volts or an 18650 + a LR atty for a great all day vape.

Would be great to give one of these a try. Have always been interested in them but seem like something always comes up when there is extra cash around
