OK, here she is, all done. Transistor Radio mod. Originally manufactured around 1962. The radio doesn't work so I gutted it but left the thumb switch/volume button and the tuner. I mounted an LED under the board to the thumb switch so you can turn the led off or on when you hit the fire...

No, mine just sticks down about every 3 to 4 clicks. Then I pry it up with my thumb nail. It gets annoying. :-(

Anyone know how to take apart a Smoktech SID head? I want to clean or replace a sticky button. Thanks.

Is there any way to turn a VV VW mod into a mechanical? For instance:: I have a Smoktech SID and would like to try sub ohm-ing. Is there a way or an adapter to override the electronics in it? Like some kind of mechanical push button thing to replace the little computer one. Just a thought...

The probes are brand new. The wires on them are just too long for a proper low ohm reading.

I tried that but the reading was way off. A 1.8ohm coil would read as 2.8 to 3.0 ohm. Plus, it's much easier to just screw the coil on the connecter instead of fooling around with the probes.

I just used heavier gauge wires (24g I think) and made them as short as possible.

Thanks, I think any 2 part epoxy should work fine. I used 15 minute epoxy I got from home depot on mine and it works great. :toast:

I always go back to Espresso from Coi-E. I don't know why, but I love that stuff. Wish they had a higher nic though.
