I did exactly as recommended when I started DIY 2 years ago. Start small at 5% flavor and work up from there. I ended up at 24% flavoring when I hit my sweet spot. Been vaping the same old flavor for 2 years now and love it. Keep trying until you get it right for you.

Hope you found a solution. I use 85%VG homemade juice in my Subtank and have no dry hit problems. I am also really sorry to hear about so many people having leaking problems at the AFC ring. I have had my Subtank for over a month now and have NEVER had a leak. I run mine at 25 watts on a IPV 2 plus.
