I have 3 of these and never had any leakage issues - perhaps a misthreaded part? Pardon my newness, but why would you want to remove a wick?

Has happened to me a few times (I have 3 Protanks). I just changed out the head and it solved the problem. I never took apart the head, but I'm guessing it was a short in there (coil touching something it wasn't supposed to be touching). Maybe I'll get around to it to figure it out?

I have a 350 and 2 650s. All 3 have nipples and they work wonderfully. I've seen people mention on ECF that they have flat batts that work just fine too though. Apparently the V2 has a better spring than the older ones, so it's not really an issue. I just like the nipple ones since it's "idiot...
