People don't believe me either. As a teenager I really suffered from asthma, but loved track & field. Not a good combination. My doc at the time, a chain-smoking polio survivor with leg-braces who terrified me (but was one of the best doctors I've ever experienced), asked me whether I smoked. I...

I've been vaping unflavored for the past three years. I really like it. It took me a couple of days to get used to it, but then I found, like others, that unflavored actually has a flavor of its own. Bonus, it's really easy to mix :)

Well, after a bit of procrastination, looking around, listening to what DPLongo22 and others have said, deciding 'naah, redeciding, rolling dice and whatnot.... A nice little Rev 3.a Dober will be on the way to me (with an extra delrin tank). 4 black aw 16340s are on the way as well. Sheesh...

Bummer about the DNA 25 :(. I really wanted to get one of those. My maximum so far has been 15W, with 12W being standard. Ah, well... As @raqball says, who looks at the screen anyway, once you're set up? I think I'll go for the Rev 3.a after all, either Dober og RPG. :) BTW, any...

Yeah, analog is repairable--I like that. I only vape at 12W anyways, so I'm not using the Evolv to its full potential. For sub-ohming I use mechs anyways (Reo et al). Hmm..... maybe I'll just trundle along to DD's site. Just browsing, y'know ;)

Quick question: I'm now up to 2 Rev 4's, and was browsing the BB site. I stumbled upon the Rev 3a's, and I'm wondering if any of you that have both could tell me if there's a use case where you'd prefer the Rev 3a?. Apart from the fact that I like the idea of a simple circuit that I could...

No, the wick slides pretty well, I did manage to get it in with a 4.5cm wick, but that used too much force, and compressed the wick.

I agree with the caps that trap the wire, I fought that like crazy. I built it with 200 mesh, 32g kanthal, 4.5 wraps. The supplier said to wrap 5cm x 2cm mesh (approximately). That just didn't work for me. I ended up cutting almost 10mm off the end, so it was more like 4 x 2cm. No hot spots...

Similar to your experience, I've settled on the UNO (for now). That's going on vacation with me (along with a couple of backup cartos, BVC's etc). I've noticed one thing that's funny, and not particular to the UNO, but all builds. If a measure a build with an ohmmeter or a multimeter, say 2.3...

With cotton it'll work. Load the coil, and absolutely stuff the openings with cotton, and it won't leak at all. Leave one millimeter gap at the feeding holes, however, and all bets are off. I tried a 3mm coil and got into all sorts of trouble. I couldn't get the cotton to fan out properly and...

Was hoping for the orange g10 plates--decided might as well get the Kürbis while they were in stock, so got it. Hmm.... this is a little too addictive  But fun :D

I've been using the UNO for a week, and it's a step up from the premades. With the Aspire BVC (great taste), I get the dreaded gurgle at the half-way point in the tank. With the UNO I've had the greatest success with a 1.8-2.3(ish) cotton build @ 2.5mm coils. Just remember to stuff the cotton in...

Congrats . And they're all out. Congrats to all who succeeded (except the flippers, of course).

It's insane , 30 minutes in and there's still a ton available. Seems like flippers are been thrown out left and right, because units keep reappearing. Or perhaps people are changing their minds, or trying to buy from North Korea, or..... I don't know what I'm talking about :p

OK, BB Part III. This time not the BB itself, but the Ohman Uno RBA. I can't use it. Not because it doesn't work--Oh no!! It works. Too well. I slapped 10 wraps NI200 32g wire (10 wraps) @ nominal 0.2 ohm at 2.5mm and stuffed it with Japanese cotton. The build took less than 2 minutes. Popped...

I really liked the look of the old style, especially the opaque delrin tank, with the ball valve. Were they particularly prone to failure, or was there another reason that design was discontinued?

So, am I still in love with this thing? In a word, yes. I'm constantly amazed by the little things, such as the fact that the firing button swivels. I couldn't see the point, until I changed positions and my 'firing finger' held steady. While I haven't completely come around wrt the glass...
