I have had better ekowool luck with dual wick single coil setup on the ithaka. I think you're on to something. With single coil though, haven't experienced any issues at all...

And this is Martha Stewart cotton hemp yarn? Anxious to hear results of your extended testing. I spent the last couple hours reading this thread and finally got to the end. I've been using the 2mm hollow ekowool for a few weeks now without any issues. Currently running dual (parallel) coils...

Very well done coil. Ekowool tastes better than other silicas. Loving it.

Agree with baditude. Taking the cap off isn't any easier than sliding the tank up on the carto. But putting the cap back on pressurizes the fluid in the tank and it can only go in the carto holes, and flood it. I dont use cartos any more but it does take a while to perfect their use!

I started throwing away or giving away the premades when I realized the DIY was going to be a successful venture! Not to say I havent had any DIY batches that got thrown away :closedeyes:
