Please excuse my ignorance.... but if the switch fails and stick open wouldn't my coils get continuous power until the coils fail or the batteries die? If my build is within safe max cdr of my batteries?

How do you like that rage box? Im debating getting the dual 18650 parallel box but their switches look pretty skimpy.... I know it has the mosfet but for 120 bucks I dont want the switch to fail and this thing blow up in my hand.

One last question if a get a box that's done in series instead of parallel does it still double the max cdr of the cells?

So if I get a box with wire get one with a mosfet?

i see the 25R's on rtd are listed as INR is that the same thing as IMR? Also any suggestions on box mods looking to go with a parallel setup for now may look into a series setup later on. Is the mosfet a must have?

Gotcha so with two 20 amp max cdr cells i would be in the clear till about .1 ohm? If so are IMR batteries still recommended for mechs or is just about anything acceptable as long as its a good reputable manufacture and within the max cdr?

So if Im understanding this with a parallel box if I had a 0.3 ohm build it would still be about 45 watts same as a single 18650?

Just like the title iv been searching around quite a bit and cant find much just mods people have turned down in their machine shops like the one I dont have lol. Where can I find a mod that will run these batteries and if they are even available what kind of charger do they require?

after many attempts I figured it out. I started with 32g kanthal and successfully built my first coil. Than made another with my 30g kanthal. My problem was I was strangling my SS mesh with kanthal lol rewraped a little lighter and everything was a go great flavor great vapor production ect ect.

Just curious if it will work i have a tenergy tn270 to charge my li ion cells and i just picked up some aw imr 18650s the 1600 mah 24a models but after reading severy threads im not sure if it can be done alot say yes alot say no so which is it?

figured it out... was because I was being cheap and using the last scraps of clean cotton I had left. Got some fresh stuff cleaned it wraped it and vaped it.... much much MUCH better! Better flavor and no sketchy red color!

idk the cotton isnt tight at all just enough for decent contact with the wire. Im doing 4 or 5 wraps of 30 gauge kanthal.

Sorry for posting this here but its my 5th post :) Iv been having issues with my coils turning red within 20 hits. It turns the juice red and hits are very weak with a 1.3 ohm coil. I think whats going on is with the way the wicks are built in the protank I think my coil is too close to the top...
