Are you telling us or asking us??
If you already have this device then I hope you have a good battery in it. The best way to tell what battery to use is to figure out the current draw and get a battery that can handle at least 4 to 5 more amps than that.
Current draw = 4.2 / coil resistance...
When you have a higher resistance coil you have a longer length of wire. You'll have less wattage per inch so the heat at any one point is less.
23 watts is 23 watts whether it's into .5 ohms or 1.6 ohms. I think you've found your answer in the higher ohm load. This is easier these days with...
intheshade is correct. since the liquid won't be sitting on the coil when it's upside down.
When I first started vaping it was in the summer and I work inside so I'd go from air conditioning outside into 90 degree heat and it would be flooded by the time I got in my car.
shouldn't cause any problems as long as you clean it off. Leaking usually happens from pressure build up in the tank. I find that it happens when going between different temperatures quickly. Try not letting your tank get too low as more air inside will allow greater pressure change.
When you...
For the 2 that you mention it's more up to aesthetics than anything. The power specs are the same on both. The eleaf has a built in battery (2200mAh) and the ipv uses 18650s so that might sway you one way or the other. The eleaf battery will eventually go bad and the unit will be a brick (like...
Do like jockamo said and make the wick long and lay it the length of the deck. The best length for this is to put your wick through the coil then grab a side and take it down the edge of the device and cut it there (it should be going down at an angle, don't pull it straight out and eye it up)...
couple of answers:
7. Opening the holes up will let more fluid into the carto when hitting it. Opening too much can cause it to flood. The draw of air comes from a hole in the base of the carto. You could try stretching that hole out a little bit. Be careful since the coil is attached there...
Those are some cool coils. I run mine on an MVP so I couldn't possibly think of doing either one. Maybe if I get a shiny new mech for the holidays though.
Me either. Haven't bought anything since around March. Been DIYing juice and have enough Kanthal and cotton for about 5 years. You can save money if you don't get sucked into buying every new toy that you see.
Probably one reason. Don't know if this is the first batch or not. From the website:
*THIS IS A PREORDER, AND ESTIMATED SHIPPING DATE IS December 19th, 2014* USA AND CANADA ONLY FOR THIS BATCH* -
EDIT: This is for the second batch so there's probably not many out there.
I used to have the same problem. If you don't put a flavor wick on top of the coil then there's a gap there for liquid to rush in. Make a flavor wick with cotton and put it on top of the coil and cut it to the same length as the coils wick.
It's not burning through coils but gunking them up. Here's a vid on dry burning your coils to clean them. Don't let them get to glowing for too long or you can risk burning the rubber piece underneath. You don't need to soak it in water like this guy before you burn it. It takes much longer when...
Ya, feel the batteries and make sure they're just warm. It's probably the smell of warm electronics if you have a bunch of chargers going in a small area.
You could. You can get 100 feet of Kanthal for the same price and just wrap your own. I believe you said you have an MVP. You can use that to test the resistance of your coils
I have a 1.5 ohm on mine right now using a Kayfun. I've done as low as 1.3 ohms. I've put a dripper on it before for taste testing juice mixes. Same coil resistance. It's about the same experience as a Kayfun at that power level
I agree with readeuler as far as the amount of wick. I've seen many pictures just like this and the solution is always less wick and let the deck supply the juice. That much wick and juice can rob the coil of heat also.
