    advice needed - Veritas + dna 166?

Thank you, LilWhiteClouder. As I said, I haven't done any reading in so long, I was confused by the warnings at their page. So I assume the vaporshark dna 166 is a regular 510?

    advice needed - Veritas + dna 166?

Hello all, Been a long time since I done any reading and I need some help. About to order a new mod and I am seeing warnings at vapordna "Never use a short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device." I am still vaping with my old Veritas rda and am wondering if I will have...

Ni200, cant get lower gage to work properly

try playing around with wick density, spitback sometimes means you aren't using enough wicking material gl!

    Dripping with ni200

Here's another vote for spaced coils and going up in wire resistance. I personally like 28ga or 29ga, 12 to 14 wraps, spaced. G'luck

Looks great to me. There will always be some gunk. The advantage of TC to me is that I don't have to worry about keeping my wicks wet and it's easy to notice when performance decreases, without damaging the wicks or tasting horrible. I often vape the wicks nearly dry to switch flavors. After 3...

Brand new to dripping-looking for some info/ support

1 - Yes, that range would be safe. And depending on the build, wick type and airflow settings, you could probably push much higher. 2 - Kanthal is very popular and widely available. It's good advice IMO. There are other options you can explore further down the road if you choose to. 3 - Try to...

Awesome setup Randy! I know you have been searching for a good 2 posts rda for a while now. I been searching for one as well, and the Velocity had my attention, I just wish it had 'regular' screws instead of thru post holes. (excuse my poor grammar) :) Did you have any issues with connections...

Good build for magma when just starting out?

In simple terms, resistance is based on wire gauge + length of wire used. It makes it easier to share builds if we count wraps for a given diameter. So people share their builds by naming how many wraps, wire gauge and rod diameter. cheers

in my experience burnt taste when using TC is normally a sign of a hot spot. The darkening of the coil after little use is something I get often. As long as flavor isn't affected I don't mind it much. My latest attempts with variable spaced coils seem to help with this issue.

these magnetic spools come from Stealth Vapes? I need to reorder soon, running out of 28ga, will keep an eye to see if I can order without magnets then, thanks for the heads up!

magnets? I'm not sure what you mean? @PhoneGuy: It'll be very interesting to hear your thoughts after the dna x sxm comparison. G'luck!

Nice one! Glad to hear you made it work! One thing is certain, when I installed my coils unwicked/still on rod, they would look much prettier 99% of the time. Yet the more I do them "manually"(?), the easier it's getting. And they are becoming less messed up/deformed. I remember being impressed...

I completely agree. btw, a quick update on the Variable Spacing build from last week. resistance has been stable and never changed from the original reading of 0.15. flavor is still great after 8 days, vapor production hasn't changed. I think I found my new favorite build :)

well said Rikk. Interesting theory about refinement having issues with contact coils. I fought the idea of spaced coils a lot at first too, but curiosity won and I tried them very early. I never ran into many issues with refinement, and only found out it even existed a few weeks after owning...

personally, I pack my wicks with lots of rayon, normally it does deform the coil when passing the wick thru, turning spaced coils into contact coils. Then a little bit of pulling on the wick back and forth gently, and the coil becomes spaced again...and it's time to vape. YMMV g'luck

Agreed that it's a bit weird at first, and I also believe it gets better with practice. I find that long leads are very helpful, and trapping the wires clockwise becomes more helpful than ever. I also like to pre-bend an U on the leads prior to mounting. I sort of measure the distance from coil...
