Of course, Nickel plated is even better than Aluminum, I didn't mention Nickel because I understood you don't want to use it anymore :-P ) Said that, my Alu GGTSs are not tarnished; of course they do not shine like Nickel plated ones, but IMHO they looks more than OK.

Of course you're right, but you'd consider also that 101% of people buying Proteus is planning to use it with Penelope! :-P On my side I have enough P3s, I don't need more, while I'd like to use P4, too, which has a better optical match with Proteus, so I'd really like a replacement P4 base...

Imeo, Proteus has the integrated air control, good for Penelope 3... Have you considered a new run of P3, or a "P3 style" base + not-sealed pin for P4?
