Hi there, if the EVOD worked for you before I'd say stick with it - with the exception of using say a Vision Spinner / EVOD Variable Voltage / eGo Twist style battery that lets you tailor the power output. THey have a EVOD 2 these days which is the same thing more or less but with dual coil. I...
I've never vaped 100% VG on the BVC but routinely use 70% with no issues. The ET / CE5 style BVC coils seem to be very sensitive to non-linear boosting devices (iStick, VAMO, etc). They work best for me on just standard spinner type batteries, MVP and of course my Provari.
I've never had any issue - in fact I still use iClear 16's (only when traveling) as the top coil tanks are less prone to leaking on an airplane. That said my top coil tank I usually run at 4V max! I also use 70% VG so not sure really.
I have had to do the wrench method but usually for on the first 1 or two refills and then it loosens up. Interestingly on my mini with the "T" tank (metal/glass combo) I've never had any issues.
In my testing I've found that the ET-S and BVC coils just don't get along with the iStick. Basically the iStick runs too "hot" and is overdriving the coil. Only way I avoided the hot juice spitting monster was to drop the voltage to the minimum and then in flooded. It's not a problem with the...
Whoops - tweet had a ....... in it - trying again with the actual referenced URL:
Got a tweet from Rock Bottom Vapes on a sale for EVOD2 starter kits. Use code EVOD24 to get it for $29.95!
I got mine 3 days ago and am loving it. The IQ feature I agree would be gimmicky but there does indeed seem to be some science behind it. I date all my batteries with a sharpie and sure enough the score goes down on the older ones so it is a good measure of battery health IMO.
I have to...
I've run into this problem too, but not on my Provari. the iStick spits, but I surmise it's because the signal from the istick isn't flat so it actually pulses much higher than the 4V I have it set to. Which tank are you using it in? Mine works fine in the full size vivi, but I do have to...
Very True! But one point to note is that I thought mine was "rusting" as it had red stains down on the spring area, so I popped the pin/spring out and it was just burnt / oxidized juice that cleaned right off with rubbing alcohol. I suspect what some people think is rust is just gunk buildup.
It depends on the juice and the device pushing it. I've found that the BVC coils that come with the mini don't get along with several of my mods and seem to prefer mods with a linear power delivery. I rarely push my mini over 4.5. Also if you're running a mini on an eGo VV set to 4.8 you're...
I get mine from Rock Bottom Vapes $10.95 for a 5 pack and their shipping is super fast and cheap ($2.50 flat rate). Never gotten anything inauthentic from them. That said, I tend to stick with the BDC version as they $1 cheaper and for me work just as good.
Totally agree, bang for buck it's hard to beat with the adjustable base. And with $1 replacement coils don't even bother to rebuild them anymore. I do save all my old ones though in case the vape-apocalypse ever hits!
