You can adjust the wings it just has to be very minute adjustment. If the center pole isn't going into the cup it could be the diameter of your NR wire. I only use 32g and it has still been tight on a couple of cups. Which could be the other solution to your problem. Try a different cup...

I've been using the Japanese cotton pads. I cut a small strip and thread it. Wicks amazingly, clean taste but needs to be changed sooner. Big thing is to cut with the grain instead of against it or it falls apart.

I liked coven the best personally. They did kind of merge Papa Legba with Baron Samdie but all in all twas a great season.
