Anything that doesn't have windows drivers is going to give that message because windows can't figure out what's actually plugged into the USB port. The USB is powered so yes it will charge the device, probably slower than into a wall outlet but it will charge. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

the chinese could clone the crap out of it, literally their cost for parts is less than $20 bucks in mass production. American Quality sure but they are pretty proud of it too and usually puts them out of business. We'll be seeing clones at $65 come july.
