5Volts on the Prodigy V2 was supposed to be from the ring that makes the connection on the button. It is supposed to drop resistance to about 5v from the solid 6v form the 2x3.0v, or so I read. 6v on the V3 is GREAT on V4L cartos, but I want to leave those... ... who really don't seem to care...
