That would make sense, also why the provari fires the atty to check ohms. Typically as something warms up the resistance increases.

$10 for 50 aint bad at all and being able to dry burn and rewick was what I was really looking at. On my protanks I just chuck the whole coil and wick and re wrap. Faster and kanthal/cotton is cheap enough. Ok, going to try to sleep again and see if another body part tries to tie itself in a...

I've been thinking seriously about getting one. Of couse I want to get myself a satin black mini first to go with the vari I have now. Just me being the impatient tightwad that I am I'm trying to convince myself to get a sophia and run it for a month (!) before I buy several.

Or maybe not. Ever had a whole leg cramp up? Anyway, one thing I have been really wondering about the Sophia is does one have to use nr-r-nr wire on the rebuilds? I've been wrapping my own protank coils for about a month now with no problems using 32 kanthal.

Really neat to meet the face behind the name huh? I will say I got my first provari in no small part due to baditude. I have found that those who conduct themselves like he does online tend to follow it up irl, they tend not to bs either.

I just gave away my evic to my sister. Gave away my mvp2 to a friend last week. The provari just works better. Of course now I have to get another.:facepalm:

Yup, I dont put the cotton in it until I'm done checking and dry burning, I imagine burnt cotton tastes nasty and I don't need to confirm it.

Yup, just gave my sister my evic, now need another provari. Oh well. Some neat things I noticed about using the provari to rebuild coils. When testing ohms it will fire the coil at low power letting you see if there are any problems before you do a dry burn. Just another neat little provari plus.
