Best Mods for Magma/Kayfun 3.1 ES Clone

I have 2 FT kayfun 3.1s and 2 kfl+v2s. I have not owned a russian 91% but once I figured out the kayfuns I have been very happy with them. I also really like the Fogger. Its ugly but fantastic at the same time.

Best Mods for Magma/Kayfun 3.1 ES Clone

A hana clone would fit your needs. I have a cloupor clone and built a Fasttech clone Hana box with a authentic Evolv DNA30D board and a fat daddy spring loaded 510. I use both with my Magma (built at .6 ohms) and my kayfuns (built at 1.5 ohms). The clone box/real board unit cost $80 in parts...

    Need more battery run time

Although efest states 20A for that battery, the 20A rating is a pulse rating. Efest uses the Panasonic NCR18650BE cell, a 10A max continuous discharge battery. Also, you should take into consideration that Panasonic figures the mAh rating by discharging the cell to 2.5v. The Evolv DNA30 chip...

    what 18650 batteries are recommended

Just a bit of warning about buying batteries from FT: Batteries only ship by surface mail. This will mean 30 to 45 days in transit. I use Panasonic NCR18650PF batteries in my Vamo v5 with good results. Illumination Supply has them for a reasonable price and they ship quickly from CA.

LG's or Samsungs, and a new four bay charger?

The lower the charge rate, the less stress on the battery. Both the LG and the Samsung can be charged at 2A. But, this will stress the battery more than charging at a lower rate. Typically if I have the time, I charge at a low rate (.5mA). Also, Frequent charging is preferred over running the...

Anywhere to get legit Sony VTC5?

LG's or Samsungs, and a new four bay charger?

I agree with your recomendation for the Efest LUC V4. While I generally dislike the way efest markets their batteries, my LUC has been a rock solid charger. They are currently pretty inexpensive right now compared to a year ago. That said, the top of the line Xtar chargers are pretty awesome...

LG's or Samsungs, and a new four bay charger?

Either the LG HE2 or the Samsung -25R batteries fit your needs. Pretty much all of the chargers you are looking at will automatically stop charging when the batteries have reached a fully charged state. But... leaving them unattended while charging or when they are done charging, for extended...

RDA Air Hole Shims for RDAs

I have had no issues filling the hole with jb weld (neatly and sparingly. Don't blob it on or goober up the whole topcap), letting it cure, than re-drilling to the size I wanted. Why would using jb weld to fill the too big hole be a problem? Worked well in my experience.

    Protected vs. Unprotected 18650 Batteries

It would be best to use a IMR chemistry battery. Most are unprotected but feature safer chemistry. Protected ICR batteries are a poor choice for two reasons. The main reason is that most protected batteries use a more volatile chemistry that will vent flames if it vents. IMR batteries will...

Cloupor Cana DNA 30 or iTaste VTR?

The VTR can only use a 19mm tank without the extension. The makes Kayfun type RTAs a no go unless you want to modify the VTR's top ring.

    A few questions

The Safety Factor in using the IMR/Hybrid chemistry efest is that if it does have a problem and vents, it is going to vent hot gas and not flames. The UltraFire batteries are ICR chemistry and will vent flames. The Efest battery is a better choice all around. The protection circuity in the...

Weak battery message on wake up with my Evolv DNA30D mod

Great! I was just a bit concerned. I have noticed quite a difference in this authentic board compared to the clone board I was using. 30w is quite a bit stronger with the real thing than the clone and the authentic has much better battery life. Thanks for allaying my fears that I had some...

Weak battery message on wake up with my Evolv DNA30D mod

1 out of 10 times when I press a button waking up my DNA30D (authentic board, new as of Monday) based mod, I get a "weak battery" message. Never reboots or acts up in use. Vapes strong and works well. It is built in a clone Hana box with a Fat Daddy 510 installed. 20 gage wiring throughout...

    Fogger V4!!

I use a dna30 mod with my v4.0 fogger. With a .8 ohm 28gage build, I run my Hana @ 30w all the time. Dont build super low for a dna mod. Around 1 ohm give more wattage range and provides more coil surface area. I primarily use my Hana with the fogger. Its a great combo.

    Clodpor DNA30 Upgrade????

The inside of the cloupor box is generally a hot glue mess. I have recently installed a genuine Evolv DNA30D chip in one. After digging out the clone chip from it's hot glue mounting, installation was pretty straight forward but I also had to replace the buttons due to the fragile nature of...
