Never took the time to figure it out, honestly. I used to be horrible about slathering epoxy everywhere once I knew a build worked, which made tinkering with them after the fact a pain, and if swapping out the switch didn't work I just made a new one altogether (think I found 12 old gutted ones...
Alright, have to jump in while there's an active thread on Altoids mods. I've been using the gum tins for 18650 and stacked/regulated 16340 mods for a while now (if you cut the bottom out of one and close it up with the lid from a second tin it gives you the depth you need to fit those batts in...
not sure where you all are getting your info stating that the Leo atomizers are sealed, but I've got two of them and they most definitely are *not* sealed. to be clear: i haven't had any juice make it down into the actual battery, but there's been juice build-up all over the coupling every time...
what specifically are you wanting to be able to do? i'm not in-town, but i am less than two hours away and if you're just wanting an overall intro into modding (wiring/soldering; what tools & parts you'll need & how they work; and how to keep an eye out for potential mod material--anything can...
wanna say i used a layer of hot glue in mine, i'd have to fish it out of the box bin to check though.. i've also just epoxied down some pieces of those plastic boxes when the space allows for it (in a regular Altoids, for instance). whatever you do though, just make sure that the lid will still...
haha.. talking about the clickety-clickety of the tactile, i assume? i noticed that when i watched it too, heh.. like, "wow, i work that holy hell out of that button, don't i?" can't help it, though, i love the feel of them.
whatever you end up putting together, make *sure* you lock down all the connections with some epoxy or hot glue after you've tested it.. since you're not going to have access to an iron if something should come loose, i mean, go the extra mile when making it and ensure that nothing in there can...
thanks for the words.. and yeah, i love the parallel battery configuration.. i get about the same lifespan out of these 14500 boxes that i do out of one 18650, a solid 2 days before i notice any trail off in vapor production.
and that box stays cleaner than you'd think.. it's durable as all...
some pics, if anyone's interested.. it's the first one i've gotten to work in a 2xAA box, so i'm just a wee bit pleased with myself, you know? ;b
there's magic beneath that little bur of hot glue, i promise.
just two (long) 3.7V drags to demo the vapor i'm getting out of my diy box mods. i always set them up for two 14500 li-ion batteries (in parallel), so this is how pretty much every one i've put together has performed.. which is not bad at all. anyhow, thought this might be useful as a...
rock on, sir.. although most of mine have ended up being boxes of some sort, i always start with that same approach.. combing the house for the things i can re-purpose. ;b
vape on, and all the best.
from Married with Children, haha
as for the bacon/french toast blend: hells yes.. need to order myself some bacon and get on that.. good call, and all the best ;D
local baking stores are a good spot to check.. i've not only got them stocking all the LorAnn's flavors i wanted, now, but i've also found some great locally made flavorings there as well (just be sure to read the ingredients!). best of luck to ya.
oh wow.. i've been wondering when someone was finally going to put that flavor together. can't wait 'til the testing's done so i can get my hands on some.:w00t:
that's brilliant, Rocketman, will definitely give that a try.
in other news: got my PG from CVS this morning and started remediying some of those mixes.. my tongue & lungs are grateful ;b
thanks again, everyone.
gonna have to check her stuff out, i guess, since i keep hearing about it.. and that's understandable on the nicotine liquid, was a little sketchy about handling it myself as well.. i'm not dead yet though ;D
anyhow, glad to know there's another vaper around here. and if i can ever help you out...
spectacularly since the sun's been back these last few days, heh. pretty excited too, actually, about my Capella stuff showing up yesterday (French Toast, ftw!).. so long as CVS comes through on the PG tomorrow, i should be a happy vaper for a good little while. ;D
