    GEM - RTA by markbugs

I use a 3/32 rod, which equals to 2.4mm, instead of 2.5mm. That way I can a extra wrap in deck bowl. With 26ga, I can get seven wraps, but I do prefer 28ga., 8 wraps at 1.1-1.2 ohms.

Okay the Gem 2s are press fit, but that is not what raitizz has. He has an original SS, there is nothing broken.

Presumptions, I meant in regards to presuming MBs intended direction to MTL hitters. They are just trying to give us what they think we want, while making a few bucks in the process. Anybody with experience with the OG Gem would notice that it was very limited in build versatility. Anybody with...

    GEM - RTA by markbugs

Lot of presumption, I'd say. I have all 3 in the Gem series. OG Gem has been quite satisfactory and arguably the most favorable RTA to date. The Ti Gem has increased juice ports to accommodate those who prefer VG heavy juices. The SS 2 Gem has increased airflow to increase flexibility to...

I don't get it, what's to fix, just screw it back into the deck. My first SS Gem did that from day one. After cleaning, I just use rubber gloves to get a real secure grip and tightened the 2 pieces as much I can by hand. Just have to be careful that it doesn't unthread when removing the top...

Just got the Gem II, first observation is that the air flow has been increased dramatically. Guess I will be experimenting with some hotter builds. Looking forward to the improved air and juice flow along the bigger deck space. ;)

Wonder if the improvements will be worth while, just ordered 1. Been happy with all the original and Ti versions.

Okay, you put that out there! What else are you able to share? Calling something yet to be introduced as "pioneering!", is a verrrrry strong statement.

I don't feel h00ligans grievances are unfair. They are his personal experiences, honestly and clearly stated without prejudice. Only in the area of TC where I feel that the Gem was never designed to use Nickel wire as an alternative to non TC coil wire. The DNA40 was just being introduced to...

While i appreciate the improvements with the Ti Gem, they aren't enough to turn me away from the V1 SS. I doubt the V2 will make me feel that will need to flip my V1s.

I had one insulator that was loose, i actually removed it and tapped it a hammer a few times to flatten and expand it and now it fits tight enough not to fall out. The rest all have a tight enough fit where they have to be forcibly moved from position. I only use one Gem in 510 mode, all the...

Haven't need to test MB customer sevice. WAE IIs have performed daily without any issues for over 20 months. Gems SS and Ti have also performed daily without issues since I received them. Sorry for your misfortunes, but my experiences have been very satisfying.

Yep, the 2.5mm coil rod is a smidge too big. Consistent with all my SS and Ti Gems. I use a 3/32 rod for all my Gems.

The TC issue with the Gem certainly lies with the 510 or hybrid pin design. Both screw pins need to be adjusted out from deck to make the connection with mods in either 510 or hybrid mode. With the WAE in hybrid mode, I have to turn the pin out almost a full turn to get a reliable connection...
