Oli from Old Sam messaged me back and has already sent out another tip. Very stand up company.

I got 8 regular tanks out of my last cotton wick on a 1ohm 28ga micro coil and the wick was not burnt when I changed it however the coil was getting gunked up pretty good. If your using a light juice a don't see any reason you should not get at least 2 tanks between wicks. Darker quick gunking...

They have a patent on how their chip controls VW.... VW devices have been around for a long time before evolv or ecigs & I seriously doubt that provape chip is a copy in any way of the evolv chip so their patent would not apply in any way.
