With a lot of the newer ones, you can press the button 5 times to turn it off (button won't do anything), and then press it another 5 times to turn it back on for vaping.

Sometimes you have to unplug the USB cord from the base (the power plug), screw the battery into the charging bit, then re-plug the USB. Chargers are weird. I have two different ones that I use, and sometimes one likes one battery better than another, and vice versa.

The 1.8 coils "cool down" after a couple of days, and after a week or so get so "cool" that I end up replacing them. (I'm using a Kanger Mini ProTank 2).

You may not even have to replace the coil, just make sure it's screwed in tight. Sounds like it may be slightly unscrewed (I've caused that myself, when I try to unscrew the battery without grabbing the EVOD by its metal collar).
