    Mech mods

My mod of choice is a Reo which is a mechanical mech mod box squonker. For me, I use the button top AW 1600mah batteries. They are usually good to 24 amps, but I build my attys no lower than 0.4 ohms.

    Mini Panic Attack

Going from an ego to a higher end mod is definitely different. What tank or atty are you using? I'm always vaping on a RDA and use 3mg juice. But you should also try 0 nic. I'll be dropping down to 0 nic soon enough. I'm giving myself until the end of the year or until I vape through my current...

Thinking about a new Reo Grand

I've used organic cotton balls and kgd as my wicking materials on my rebuildables. The kgd is easier to work with. Both types of cotton only last 2-5 days for me before I have to rewick. But the coils last about 1 month. Most rebuildables will gunk up a bit faster than the cartos because the...

What's your home, out and about, and other Squonker?

I have 2 mods that I use regularly. They're both Reo Grands. I don't label them home or out, but I switch off between them every once in a while because of different reasons. It could be the juice I'm vaping would over power the juice I want to switch to, so I switch mods, giving the time to...

Why is one coil dry and one coil wet?

If it's a kanthal build, dry fire your coils. They should glow red evenly and at the same time. If not, you'll probably need to pinch or adjust them. Maybe even completely rebuild it.

Is G plat wire worth all the hype

Just my opinion. I tried it, it worked well. But after I was done with what I bought, I went back to A1 kanthal. The g plat was a little softer and easier to coil, but performance was about the same. It wasn't worth the extra cost for me.

    If today vaping is...

As it is, I buy premium juices and enjoy a lot of different flavors. I vape a 30 ml bottle in 2 or 3 days. The price is about the same as when I use to smoke. If the Feds have their way, I'd still vape. But I would look much more carefully at DYI.

    Winter and vaping

If it's extreme cold, I would go with a mech. Even then, try not to expose your batteries in the extreme cold. But they would be fine in your pocket. Remember that sometanks don't do well when subject to changes in temperature. Thrones that depend on a vacuum seal to wick are likely to leak of...

After almost 60 years of smoking.....

Just the other day, I woke up and remembered in my dream, I was driving down the highway and smoking a cigarette. I've been smoke free now for over 1 1/2 years but the idea of a cigarette is still appealing to me. Either way, every morning, when I wake up, I take a few drags from my Reo and...

how much and often do you vape?

I'll go through 2 bottles in my Reo Grand. That's 12 ml of juice. I vape 3mg.

RDA RDA not hitting like it should

With any mech mid, performance is entirely build related. In a regulated mod, you can adjust the settings to overcome a less than optimal build. So if you want the plume veil to work well in the mod, even a cheaper clone mod, just test out different builds, place the coils closer or further away...

RDA RDA not hitting like it should

A good way to check that your connection is good, right after you've installed your coils, is to bend the lead back and forth after you've tighten down your connections. Keep the coil jig on the coil so you can see. If the coil moves when your bending the lead back and forth, you have a bad...

    I'm off topic

Woot!!! Congratulations!! I wish you a healthy and happy grandchild and healthy mom!! My wife and I had our first about a year ago. Both our parents are completely smitten with our son (as are my wife and I :p). You get all the fun parts of being a mom, but without the rules!

    Mech Mods?

If you're curious about mech mods, pick one up and try it. It should not start off as your primary device, though. There is quite a learning curve compared to regulated devices. But once you've learned your optimum build and when to change batteries, mechs offer a different style of vape that is...

Has Prebuilt Tank Technology Caught Up with Bottom Feeding?

It's a cool tank, but still not as easy to replenish after you've vaped through the 5ml tank. Compared to a squonk box, where you unscrew the empty bottle, screw in the full bottle and go. The design reminds me of the Big Dripper. Similar concept, maybe a little improved in how to refill, but...

*Noob Squonker Alert* Questions of a new squonker

    1. I squonk every 4-5 hits. I usually use shorter wicks, so it doesn't hold as much juice. I dripped about the same after 4-5 hits. 2. How much juice you go through is more dependent on your build. My dual coils at 0.5 ohms goes through about 6ml - 9ml a day on an easy vaping day. 3. So...

BVC Coil Dead After 4 Days...

When you say dead, are they just gunked up or are they not firing at all? If they're just gunked up, you can soak the coil in vodka or grain alcohol overnight, then dry fire them. The should be good for 3-4 cleanings like this. If that doesn't work, or you still get a burnt taste out of the...

Need a very easy to use set up for my Tootle puffing mom.

IMO, the Aspire Nautilus is right up your mom's alley. Maybe an Atlantis. They both seem pretty easy to operate and the coils last a good period of time. As far as mods go, the MPV V2 is good but if she wants something new, the iStick 30w is a nice, easy to operate mod with a good price point.
