I have the BOXER Squonker, 250C. I like it with some strong caveats. The design is less than ideal, but serviceable. From my long-standing signature (Web version) you know I am a devotee of TP. Replay on the 250C takes that up a significant knotch. Either of the Lost Vape mods would be fine...

Not Nichrome but I used SS as we [there’s a Thread, ‘TP Beyond Nickel’] learned about alternative wires. I only use NiFe52, for all: 75, 200, 250, 250C. Zivipf is the only site i know where you can be 100% certain you’re getting true NiFe (Nifethal).

Think I saw you mention a 250C. If so, I highly recommend: Zivipf for NiFe52 (Zivipf.de) Delivery to the States is 10-days or less.

I believe height matters more than distance from the sides... Don’t remember what size coils you are wrapping—gauge, #wraps, resulting Ω’s. I tend to fill the space with metal, 12-14 wraps of 24gauge (NiFe 52) resulting in .19-.22 Ω, with the top of the coil and base of the screw heads aligned...

I should have said/added: if you are only dripping with the Dead Rabbit it may be fine. Where it gets “tricky” is squonking—getting it to wick, bottom—up.

The Dead Rabbit(s) is great AND a bit tricky. I ‘got’ two (or three) of’em. Tricky in the sense of wicking: great when properly saturated, not when not.
