Did you try it on the ohm meter after firing ? Either way, I'd trust the meter over my sigelei any day. But.. That coil does sound like it should be closer to .5 ??????

Is it happening with every atty and every coil? It's either a loose coil, bad atty, or that loose varitube. Pull off the bottom of the reader and crank down the nut holding the varitube. Good luck.
