Reducing your nicotine level drastically and quickly may not end as well as you'd like. I would advise you to keep your nic juices on hand in case you run into trouble. I wish you luck.

I was a Parliament Lights smoker and I had to use 36mg for nearly a year before cutting down to 24mg. Now I'm between 12-18mg. Use whatever nic level you need to stay off the smokes.

I'd suggest that you keep it simple with either a KGO or Ego Twist/Spinner kit, some clearomizers and cartomizers (SmokTech 1.7ohm XL are fabulous) and some good juice. The juices have improved dramatically since I first started vaping in 2009!

You don't mention what the PG/VG ratio is in your e-liquid. The higher the VG, the more vapor you'll get.

It seems counterintuitive but the fact that you smoked less than a pack a day doesn't really have any bearing on what nicotine level you need to make the switch. Some light smokers find they need 36mg; some are good with 12mg. You won't know for sure until you experiment.

I suspect that smokers may be reluctant to try vaping because they're afraid it won't work any better than the other methods they've tried, like patches and gum. Quitting used to be such an awful experience before vaping came along. I think the hard core smokers need to see more smokers...
