Have you got any tips for doing a fused clapton? Admittedly I haven't watched any youtube videos yet about it but I've been trying to work it out for myself and keep ending up with the two core wires twisting themselves, it still looks cool but not that flat look that everyone else seems to get

yeah that short worked itself out through pulsing and pinching need to get some more thinner gauge wire to do more claptons as I'm really growing to enoy them again and need to do some more interesting builds. Getting bored with normal coils

Turn down your watts/volts... sounds like you're running too hot with regards to your stuck coil issue, it sounds like you're over tightening it into the base... It should be just snug, not torqued down

Awesome, only reason I ask is because like you I want to also build a high power capable device... but mine will hopefully be capable of 1.5kW... using a 65c/130c RC battery... mine will obviously be a lot bigger than yours but should have a much higher margin for safety using batteries capable...

Which MOSFETs are you actually using? 3034's?
