Just to give you a quick lesson jmeklman, you'll need to know the voltage of the battery and it's max amperage and the resistance of the coil you'd like to use in ohms. Using ohms law (voltage/resistance=amperage) you'll be able to see the lowest coil resistance you can achieve given the...
Great job man!!
how did you get the dna30 hole so perfect? i would have preferred to do my mod the way you did but ended up buying the dna30 cradle to hide my file work.
got the basic soldered. it'll do it the first few times i mess with it (fire, wattage) but then it stops. only does it again once i pull and replace the batteries. coming out of sleep it won't. Odd but i can live with it. If this goofs up i'll just wait patiently for my IPV 50w lol
I just received a new DNA30 chip from evolv for a new mod I'm making and when i tested it prior to install the screen flickers.... The flicker is most easily described as the results of video taping a tv or monitor. I can still easily make out everything on the screen, it's just flickery lol...
Appreciate the video. The problem i'm having is internal though. sometimes it will fire fine, sometimes in the middle of firing it'll either stop or lock the dna30. other times i hit the fire switch and it just goes to lock.
I'm having a hard time finding a replacement but the switch isn't...

Check out this thread, will explain the process of hooking up an illuminated switch or regular LED to your fire switch.

The guides that Mamu posted really helped me out.
In regards to the 4 prongs, you only need one side, you can clip the other side. I verified by putting a continuity gauge on it.
The heat shrink on the prongs only need to be long enough to .... up to the tac switch and cover the unshielded...
