I wonder if they're using tungsten wire like a few other ceramic coils use. Seems pretty stupid that Joyetech wouldn't state what wire they're using.

From what I can find the ceramic coil uses kanthal which would not work in TC mode. I could be wrong about the kanthal, but that's what I've read.

The Vaporesso cCells do have cotton around the outside of the ceramic piece. This is supposed to "control" the amount of wicking to the ceramic and is not in contact with the wire. I had the same problem but the fix was that the 510 screw was loose so tightening it up solved all issues. Seems that many come loosely assembled from the factory.
