From what I understand, titanium is a little easier to work with. Never tried it myself though, and I don't find nickel to be too much of a pain.

I've only used Ni200 (Nickel) for temp control, it's all that my mod supports. Not sure about the IPV4, it may also support Ti and/or SS.

Never heard that myself... You'll burn the cotton long before it gets dry. You can vape pretty close to dry using temp control, but vapor falls way off before it gets close. Just drip more, and enjoy :)

Should note that technically a RTA doesn't use pre-built coils. Most of the new sub ohm tanks can use pre-built coils and have an RBA head available as well. But 'old school' RTA's like the Kayfun, Lemo etc don't have a factory coil option.
