There are multiple brands that sell 3/6mg salt nic juices, they are often in much larger bottles than the 25/50mg. In fact I've got a 100ml bottle of 6mg Salty Man sitting on my shelf right now. It is clearly marked nicotine salt in at least three places on the bottle.

You could try cleaning out the area where the pod is inserted with a q-tip and some alcohol or possibly vinegar, either one should help get rid of the taste.

I'll second this, I'm fairly certain that the wicks in juul pods are silica. It explains why they don't easily burn even when there's virtually no juice in the wicks. It also explains why the pods wick poorly after a few back to back puffs.
