The coil/wick setup could be a possible issue. I build 2mm ID coils and it wicks well. Keep us informed J. -

Hey J, For me the Heron works great with 2.5 to 3 inches of fluff with 50/50 juices. I choose to use the topper with cotton or KGD for wicking. You are absolutely correct with playing, playing makes perfect and we all have our own tastes, Always here when you need Bro! -
