The tugboat clone is easy to build but needs to be drilled out for better airflow. Also I have read that some have flush or recessed positive pin in the 510, so that may be an issue on some mods. But it's a decent knock off and cheap.

With lighter guage wire I do my best while forming a coil but don't worry if it loosens up. I just tweak them on the RDA. Pulse heat, squeeze, adjust and dip into water once I'm happy.

I'm not familiar with the button set up on that particular mod but definitely sounds button related. It is not making good contact and causing it to heat up and inconsistantly conduct. I would look at the button. Wish I could be more helpful.
