    A little PG/VG Purity Confusion..

In the U.S.A., if it's labeled "USP" it's as pure as the law requires (medically pure). Any other labeling is just marketing.

i found pg and menthol crystal in my country (its good or not )

Just to be clear, USP stands for United States Pharmacopeia Not a big difference, but... :)

A question for people who like tobacco flavors and add other flavors to them.

Agree with making a base mix that pleases as the starting point. Then, if you want to add various flavor notes, start with as little flavor as you can add. Someone mentioned half a drop. For instance, two of my flavor notes for tobacco are licorice and chocolate. I first make a base mix...

    Seperate flavors?

I see merit in both ways. If there is chemical or physical interaction between flavor and carrier (PG, glycerine) and/or interaction between flavors, letting them age together or apart will improve the flavor. I have one "tobacco" blend that tastes like cheap artificial pineapple when first...

Please advise me must have flavors or DIY starter

Oh, I agree it's a quality flavor. I've used some in creamed coffee. Delicious! Must be my family's genetics, I don't even like the sweetness of straight glycerine when vaped. And don't like any of the "sweet" (fruit, vanilla, etc) flavors.

Please advise me must have flavors or DIY starter

Just want to put in my 2c worth - as good as that vanilla custard smelled at first, after a couple of days vaping it I couldn't take any more. My son lasted two weeks before it grew "bad" for him. And when I say bad, I mean I still shudder just thinking about it. I'm not trying to dissuade...

I can't seem to make anything good :(

Flavors are fairly cheap to buy. Buy "many" from different vendors and see what you like. Use recommendations from these forums, but remember they are recommendations and not cast in stone. For instance, many recommend tobacco absolute for tobacco flavor. I have yet to find even one...

    Cleaning atomizers? Never works!

I quit buying atomizers about a year ago. During a string of bad, brand-new atomizers (4 or 5 didn't wick, giving that awful burnt harsh vape even with a full cartridge) I plugged in #6. It appears to be immortal! :D I clean it with ultrasonic and dry burn when the vapor drops off, but the...

Making that perfect Juice you buy from store (Help)

Agree with Hoosier. My favorite flavors (all tobacco for me) are blends of one or two "body" flavors with varying amounts of "hint" or "top note" flavors. For instance, a tiny bit of chocolate and/or licorice flavor added to a tobacco flavor can add a lot of depth. The trick is, never put so...

    Should we say "infuse" instead?

Haha! :D :D Never thought of Spock. I learned "meld" from Pinochle.

Using a brita filter (or similar water filter) for filtering homemade flavorings.

If it works at all, I would suspect the activated charcoal would remove flavor. After all, using one on water removes such "flavors" as chlorine, rust, etc.

    Should we say "infuse" instead?

I 'spose I was being too dry, but I'm also rofl'ing over this thread. I am one who never uses what I consider "cute" lingo. It's always an atomizer, "juice" comes from fruit/vegetables and not the pharmacy (I do not even use "e-liquid" as there's nothing electronic about the basic "e-cig")...

    Should we say "infuse" instead?

Some words have taken on a life of their own. Atty Batt Juice Cart for example. You aren't going to change popular lingo, trying will only make you appear to be the language police. ;)

    Non-perfumy tobacco flavors

A bit late to the discussion, but on steeping/aging: A mix of tobacco, chocolate and licorice flavors I tried a while back tasted like cheap pineapple candy when first mixed (yuck!) but after two weeks melded into a decent pipe tobacco-like flavor. An amazing change!

    Mixing unused liquid question.

I mix up a "large" amount of flavorless base (Nicotine in PG, more PG, Glycerine and water/alcohol) then add flavor to smaller amounts as I use it. Assuming a 20% nicotine base, adding 5% flavor makes it 19% nicotine adding 10% flavor makes it 18% nicotine adding 20% flavor makes it 16.7%...

Threading going bad (black stuff, can it be removed?)

Use tissue paper to buff the threads, inside and out. Kind of jam it in/on so it really works into the threads. The mildly abrasive action of the paper will polish light oxidation, and the tissue will absorb the "black" (really a very dark green on brass/"gold" connectors) goo. THEN use some...

    The perfect flavorless vape!

ALL glycerine is synthetic in that it doesn't occur in quantity in nature. All glycerine must be made via a chemical reaction. "Natural" isn't in the cards. If you object to glycerine made from animal or petrochemical sources, that is certainly a reasonable thing to object to. If, for any...

Where can I get nicotine for DIY?

Any nicotine solution should have a sharp "bite" to it as nicotine itself tastes "peppery" (will burn the tongue). There is some slight smell to any liquid, as well. A subjective description should help in determining subjective purity.

    OFFICIAL AvidVaper.com HH.357 discussion thread

To the OP, regarding "gumming up" if left "dry." Try putting a drop of PG, glycerine, or any mix thereof on a sheet of glass. Let it sit at least 24 hours. See any gum? I'll wager you don't. The vapor pressure and oxidation potential (what makes the liquid start down the road to "gummy" is...
