What batteries do you use that are only 600-1200mah? Typical 18650s we use are 20amp 3000mah. I run a .5ohm build, simple round wire at 30 watts. Easily lasts a full tank or more.

Looks like the longer one may have a double insulator ring? Maybe take the wrap off and check? Not that it would hurt anything by leaving as is tho.

It's not the "casing molding" that would need replacing. Hinges are morticed into the actual door frame (jamb). If you tried to replace that board alone it would be an extensive project.

That should work. Hobby stores (Hobby Lobby) also carry thin stock wood.

If you have the woodworking equipment, I'd plane down some wood to 1/8", cut a peice to fit the hole. Glue it in. Sand it flush. Fill in any cracks around the edge. Paint.

Be sure you are cutting the cotton pad with the grain. Cutting against the grain, it won't wick juice and pull apart.
