Your problem is that the output is only 500ma. It needs to be 1000ma in order to power the passthrough. I got the one from V4L, and it powers my passthrough nicely.

I would like a 3.7 passthrough. My 5v heats up the carts too much. I hardly use it. Burns them immediately. Maybe it is the aggressive way I smoke. If I remember correctly from my computer hardware classes, all pc's have a 3.? v circuit, so it should be doable...

I've only done it on the auto, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on a manual, since they're sealed. If the battery is unusable (unuseable?), what do you have to lose? I'm smoking the one I cleaned right now with a new Coffee cart, easy draw and tons of vapor.
