I'm not familiar with the Aspire K1, but if it has an adjustable air flow, increasing that in the morning may help. I find that an airier draw at first is less harsh on my throat and after a bit I tighten it up.

I second the Kanger tanks. Once you get the hang of it, they're fairly easy and very economical to rebuild. I just did a dozen over the weekend. Just got 100' of 30 ga kanthal for 3.80. That's 1,200 inches, @ 4-5" per coil which comes out to @ a penny and a half per coil and enough for hundreds...

Yes, it is a coil rebuilt using 30 gauge. I do occasionally use stock coils, single and double; they seem to hold up as well.

This happens to be what I'm vaping now - 1.8 ohm coil/cotton wick, PT3 mini with AFC base on an iStick 20 at 7W/3.5V, On Cloud Custard 6 nic, 50/50. No dry hits, no burnt taste, no frying, no problems. Good vapor and flavor. I have read of some having issues, but that's not been my experience.

Is there some reason you're using 18/24 nic? Some people can handle that level but I would collapse from that. Everyone's metabolism is different. I started with 12 nic and even that was too much. I went to 3 and 0 but found myself sneaking analogs here and there. 6 is a good level for me...

I think the technology in tablets/phones is different from old-school Kindles. The page is static and only uses power when it rewrites which is why the battery can last days and even weeks. I do need to be more mindful of how I vape when reading or I'll miss the clues to whodunit. [emoji6]
