I'm thinking you may need to pull your post. Get needle nose pliers and pull down on the center part of the 510 connector. If not dismantle the center post (yes it does usually come apart) and make sure nothing is loose. If you think it may be the coil they are 510 threaded and you can test them...
The nipple heads are the only knock off differences that I've seen other than slight variations of tube sizes. Pick up some nipple heads at steammonkey.com they use the same knock off but swear by them. The jury is still out for me on knock offs as the same happened to me with a mini vivi and...
It's hard to see the amp limitation as anything other than the hardware, they are using an 8081 microcontroller which only allows at most 0.5a for I/O pins and that means it's another piece of hardware that is being controlled by the processor to source the additional current.
I'm a little cautious in restaurants but if they have a bar I feel it's fair game since my city has a smoking ban in buildings vaping is very common in bars.
I've noticed that with my Fluke multimeter I'm reading almost a full ohm higher than what they are rated for. I did get some cheap replacement leads from dealextreme but they read everything else perfectly. Disappointing.

I'm tempted to take it apart and see what's wrong but I just emailed Terri at CigNot to see if they have any suggestions since I've only had it a couple weeks.
HELP! Just today I've noticed my PCC isn't wanting to work right. I have a mostly drained battery in my PCC and it's saying it's both completely charged (Green Light) but also too dead to charge the battery in it. Removing the battery doesn't change anything.
The 3rd light was amber for like...
I keep loosing my PCC, does anybody have any tips or tricks on how to paint my silver PCC to another color so it stands out or is it worth just buying another one that's pre-painted.
This reminds me exactly like Micron's DRAM facility, including the booties. The only thing missing is the suction vents before each door that are so strong that they'll almost clean your sinuses.
The plug doesn't seem to wick quite as well as using all foam - i'm getting a burnt taste again which regular foam didn't have. I'll have to tweak it a little bit.
