Susan, Thanks for the links, helpful. I use a DVOM to check all my coils, plus my T8 has a resistance readout to monitor any changes. Think im getting the air flow close.

Yes, dry hits. Tried very little cotton with last build and was worse, 3 puffs and bam, have some cotton. My first build was done by some kid and I'm thinking he didn't understand the physics of it all, deck and channels were covered with tons of cotton. I want this to help me quit so bad...

Forgot to mention i am using cotton for wick. I thread wick through coil, place chimney on, cut wick at top of chimney. Tuck ends down to the deck, add a small amount around sides of coil, and verify i can see light through channels.
