    Yeah, the switch on the bottom is on. I was able to get some vapor, but I can't get it to maintain a connection. I'll try and find a nut and washer that will fit. Thank for the tips.

    That's it exactly. I sanded it down on the inside and it still doesn't seem to maintain a connection. Unsure if those tabs are at fault or it's the inside of the flashlight. Thanks for responding.

    Ok, cool. The phono jack connector which i ground down a little fits right into the top perfectly. Metal will definitely be touching metal, but I'll bend that tab to touch just to make sure. Thanks again, WillyB.

    Absolutely. Just picked up the buttons shown above. SPST Momentary switches. Doesn't say n/o or n/c. I would assume they are normally open.
