I still hope for the X1 update for the Ithaka. Imeo promised to make some. If he does, you will be better of than with the old Update. Last time he spoke of it, he had some problems with faulty mouthpieces. But may be he now has everything working and in stock.

Let me say it in another way: If you look at the Base of Tilly. It starts without threads, goes some mm straight down an then the threading starts. Now we look at the base of ithaka. It starts without threading goes 1-2mm down und then has a small step where it narrows. then it goes down (<1mm)...

I tested it and it leaks. If it were the rim of the base all would be fine. Tilly works this way. But its a very small rim inside the base. The mouthpiece wont sit on this rim properly and thats why it leaks.

Make a test: Mount the ithaka mouthpiece on to the springomizer and close liquid control. Then pull the O-ring of the Center pole some mm from its correct position. Then put this all into the GGTS base and screw as deep as possible ... carefully. The mouthpiece will get stuck sometime. Then...

As long as you have no issues while vaping, ignore it. It's normal. If its to much, change your wick or take a look at your drip tip. May be it's causing this.

In my opinion it seems better to simply adapt the center pole and let the rebuildable of tilly sit higher in the ithaka base. this way you won't have any compatibility issues with older parts.
