No dry hits for me. And I would assume the kit increases the negative-pressure and the liquid flow should be better. Like in the times when you sometimes needed to close the airhole of the Kayfun 3 with a finger to get more liquid on the coil.

Sir, No Sir! - much easier to install the coil - Filling is much cleaner as no drops get squeezend out when closing the top cap - Taste is 4,5% better than the KM3 ( ;-) ) .... therefore 10. Overall it is about 115% of the KM3 ;)

As I wrote, the result is about 1 Ohm. I use this coil as I usually vape with about 17W, which means I get the same vape out of an mechanical mod as I get from a VW electronic mod set to 17W

My favorite coil for the Kayfun V5 (and btw. also for the KM3 and K4) is a simple spaced Kanthal 0,35mm (AWG 27) 7x coil with a diameter of 2,5mm at ~ 1 ohm. 1. Wind about 10 wraps around a 2,5mm pin 2. Pull on both ends to space the coil 3. Pull off wraps on both ends to have 7 wraps left...

In my opinion the K5 at the 2* setting is about the same as the K4 with 4S kit.

In the German forums, we have a tough discussion on how the airflow below the coil affects the taste. Many vapers are convinced that a stronger airflow produces a better taste. (until now me too) I wanted to find out which of my Kayfuns tasted the best. The Kayfun 4 with the 4S kit? The Kayfun...

Well the resistance of the coil does not really matter. It is the wattage which causes the heat. The Kayfun V5 with its peek insulators should be easily capable of handling 50-60W

I bet there are a million ways to produce better tasting vape. But nobody has found them yet. :)

Yes. In it's second closest position it is about as restricted as the Gem.

It is very simple to constantly get the same LC opening. Remember the position of the logo. I always have it facing front, which is exactly 1.5 turns. I do the same with the KM3 you get used to it very quickly...
