Thanks guys. Unfortunately it didn't show up today so I don't get to experiment all weekend. But I will try the cotton first.

Couldn't be more excited as I am finally getting my first GEM. I have read and participated throughout this thread over the past few months but let's cut to the chase. Should I build it with cotton or mesh?

I think I first posted about 130 pages ago ..... and now I can proudly say I finally gave in. Who knows if I will ever get it set up properly but at least I can play matchy matchy with my WAE and a grey colored L frame. Will post proper pics with the GEM when I get it.

Anyone else prefer their mod design to be as minimal looking as possible?

Prefer Simple and elegant. And it even comes with a charging stand.[emoji4]

Q - Thanks for that review. For those of us still on the fence (or waiting on the TI) this is very helpful. I do have to say that with 20/20 hindsight it is inconceivable that a $200 atty doesn't come with any spares. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When I got the WAE II it was the perfect small regulated solution for me. I now find myself using smaller box mods instead. The increase in girth is a happy trade off for less height. With an 18500 the WAE II would be my daily carrier again.

I will always defer to Q but having done bead blasting there is always the risk that your one piece was not subject to the same amount of time as the norm. Think of it as rock tumbling.[emoji3]. Show us a pic And then we can comment. Wearing away is unlikely though - scratches are inevitable. I...

Q can weigh in. He has had his for the better part of a year and hadn't reported any issues. I don't own one but have assumed it was finished the same way as the WAE II - media blasted. And although I have to be careful not to scratch it I never had the finish wearing away. It is possible that...

What Q said.[emoji3] I believe Sedge had a 20 version in 18500 but I don't remember which version of the Wizard it is.

So Rob can't do it either? The 14mm size drives me nuts. [emoji3]

Can anyone tell me if I can replace a 14mm cup with a 22mm on my 18490? I assume REO sells the replacement but the 14mm feels like it is very firmly attached. Here is a pic of my mod.
