keep your vg ratio at 70/30, and if you are using a tank and getting harsh draw, just try reducing the watt/volts a bit until you have a nice wet flavorful hit. its amazing what a small adjustment in your settings can do.

also if you are chain vaping, allow a bit of time to rewick. Priming coils is important, but also how long you draw and the voltage/wattage you set it at. Try reducing your vv/vw and take a shorter draw. Usually if you are getting burnt hits the wick either cant keep up or the vv/vw is too high.

i would go through wizard labs or the flavor apprentice for your flavors. the nic can be expensive, but if you buy in bulk its not bad. just make sure you don't buy anything mixed above 100mg for a base, otherwise it's pretty dangerous to handle.
