When I got my Subtank Mini, I had an issue with the OCC coils. When installed, the base wasn't threading onto the tank properly. It would turn hard, then easy, hard, then easy. But with the RTA deck installed, there wasn't a problem. I think there is a quality control issue with the OCC coils.
