    Yes the bad thermoplastic smell was coming from inside the heating element, leaching out. Isnt so bad with the heat off. Thats what I get for finding the $100 deal for a 6l I guess.

    Do flat top batteries work in all those 3d printed sleds?

    I ordered from dripp3d.com. I used my meter and they work fine, yet it looks like the positive contact is just barely touching. I wonder how high amperage conductivity will be. Seems like it holds the batteries well, just nowhere near the contact on the + side as the keystones.

    Coils: new coil looked different, you can see both coil leads resting on top whereas normally I only see one. Will post pix. New tank: the air flow is at least 20% greater with a more normal sized drip tip so now they can be replaced. Much closer air flow inho to the freemax pro.
