In the past, I had same issue with fruit flavors to sugary, specially french vanilla, just reduce the flavor percentage, some flavors I have to reduce to .5% - .05ml's, this may or may not work fo you. Although I haven't tried, I read somewhere some use vinegar.

Have you tried contacting company you purchased from ? I had a similar problem on a different battery, only a few weeks old. If I can remember, I removed the tank off the battery, where each connect, cleaned really good with alcohol/Q tip, afterwards worked like a charm.
