I have considered it. It is a pain getting 8 coils to fire evenly. I am slow at building but even saying that it takes me 1.5-2 hours to throw 8 coils and wicking in. Would probably take at least 30 minutes just trying to get 16 coils to fire even, maybe more.
I did a subject search for Colorado RDA and nothing came back. I thought I would share my thoughts on this RDA. I will start with pros and cons for those that don't want to read full review.
Pros:
Costomizable deck design.
Very configurable airflow.
Huge 52.8mm deck.
Beautiful presentation...
Lets see, i own a lot of mods. Here is the list:
Aspire 30 watt (esp i think)
Original Snowolf 200 watt
Relough RX200 (dead in about 3 months with bad 510 connector)
Liasimo S3 ( 510 pin rubbed through wire insulation but was able to repair. Does not fire sometimes)
Eleaf TC200 (still works...
Lipos are intriquing but I work 12-14 hour shifts. With the Maxo Quad I have to chnage batteries at least once a shift(twice only if I dont plan ahaed). What kind of battery life would I have on a 8-12 volt lipo? My everyday vaping is 80-130 watts, probably at least 60 2-3 second puffs per hour.
Only experience I have with PWM was with the first Snow Wolf which went into PWM at 150-200watts. It was the beginning of my high wattage experimentation and I can not say I was impressed.
The top display would indeed be a problem.... Will probably have to go the second route then. Thanks for...
1: I like the series parallel configuration as it allows me to SAFELY vape up to a 50 amp build.
2: I like to vape at 250+ watts occasionally. The RX300 does 400 watts now.
I have not put my hands on the Five6 as I am not a fan of Kanger products. I am assuming that the Five6 has a board in...
I am thinking about making a squonk mod as above. I am not a builder, but I get the feeling this is a niche that has one person in it, so I don't think that any company is going to make one of these. I have a couple of ideas.
1. Frankenstein one together. My idea is to get a Kanger Five6 that...
Well you have proved my ignorance of the new law. I had thought that bit didn't take effect till 2018. While i would not expect someone to trust me as a stranger, i will say that i would not advertise a private transaction between myself and another individual. I am willing to build my own...
I want a mod similar to the "Hammer of God". I want a quad 18650 unregulated mod with a volt meter to monitor batteries. I want the batteries in a series parallel configuration that can handle 60 amps and max 8.4 volts at the 510 connector and 30 amps for each series leg. I will most likely...
Thanks for your help Suprtrtr! I found there is just not enough room for braiding the nickel, The chimney will not fit. I went with 8 wraps at 2.5 mm diameter. After 8 trashed coils, success finally! I think I even got the wicking right on the first try. Only took me 2 hours...
Well I have always been a bit of an impulse purchaser. I was originally looking at the IPV4. Although the majority of things said about it were positive, there were several negatives pointed out be several reviewers. I like the simplicity of the SnowWolf, but time will tell If i screwed up...
Oooo... Thanks for the link to Steam Engine! Thank you also for the info. My SnowWolf is not even 1 day old yet :) I have an Arctic on it with a nickel coil running 470 degrees F and 70 Watts.
I just bought a Billow V2 and am looking a putting some nickel coils in it. The Billow is my first rebuild-able. I have some coiling jigs at 2, 2.3, and 3 MM and 30 gauge nickel wire. Does anyone who has built on this thing have any recommendations? I am kinda waiting a bit as I have seen...
I never know how much and what to put in these threads.
I have been vaping for about 2 months now. I am a bit bizarre I guess because the last time I had a cigarette was at least 10 years ago. I have a co-worker who converted me. I vape 0 Nicotine. I find the flavor and the clouds to be...
